If I want to show a webcam image (HomeWatcher) on a page its name must be
'main.htm'. If the image should be on the opening (Home) page, an
'index.html' page should have an immediate link to 'main.htm'. How is it
constructed?

Why "must" the name be main.html?

Other than making it the default page at the server, there is no way to
do it so it is 100%. Having said that, google "refresh and meta" and you
will receive another option.
