Hi,
in my servlet I am serving a file which is generated on the fly, and I need
to call setContentType().
I know what the file extension should be so I want to look this up in the
mime mapping table to get the content type, but I can't find any way in to
do this. Have I missed something?
It would seem a little shortsighted that the servlet spec includes mime
mappings in the config for when the container wants to send a flat file from
disk, but it doesn't allow me to access those mappings programmatically when
I want to stream the content myself.
