My own JAVA IDE

Hi, I'm pokemon,

I wrote my own Java IDE environment. You can download it from
http://www.freewebs.com/rafalr/ for free. I know it is a little
confusing for the users but I hadn't got time to finish it. It is
still under development. If anyone wants to help me please mail me
(link is on my www page). If anyone have any suggestions or new cool
ideas please mail me. If you find any bugs please mail me too. I'll be
very appreciate for it. If anyone finds it useful please mail me. I
consider releasing the full source code of this editor in the future.
If it is a good idea please give me a sign and I'll consider it. This
project needs still a lot of work so if anyone wants to work on it
please contact me.

Pictures at the web-site look nice and I applaud the effort. Without
wanting to start a holy war, does it run fast enough to be usable? An IDE
has got to be super-quick or it's just too frustrating to use.

I downloaded it and tried it out. You would probably get much better feedback if
you made an English version available, especially when posting to an
English-dominated group. That said, I thought what I saw was fairly impressive.
Very ambitious for an individual project., but I guess Java lends itself to that
:) As I couldn't understand much, I don't know what features you really have,
but one thing you might consider is making natively compiled versions. I know
that's not really what Java is for, and I hesitate to suggest it, but the Java
world lacks really good, fast, lightweight IDEs that aren't feature-light.

Hi,
The true reason of this project was to gain knowledge about how to
write and design bigger programs. The speed of the IDE wasn't the main
goal to achieve. Although, I haven't measured the speed of the program
because I hadn't got time for it. If you try it, you can see for
yourself.

There is an english version included. Sorry, but in a hurry I switched
language to polish when I uploaded program on the server. On the right
side of the program on the toolbar there is a combobox with sign
'polski'. It allows you to switch languages in the program. Sorry
again but I should have written a tutorial about how to use this
editor. Soon I should change my webside so you can read more about the
project so be patient and when I will find some time I should download
some stuff.

If the IDE is free, you could put it in http://developer.berlios.de It
offers CVS/subversion, 100MB web space (php & mysql), forum, etc... And
you may get some people to help there. (sourceforge has more proj &
people but it sux)
