Newbie help with C++ under Visual Studio

G

glitch

Forgive the stupid question. I'm attempting to build on my Java
experience by learning C++. To this end, I have acquired Microsoft
Visual Studio .Net. I've created a blank file via "New -> File ->
Visual C++ -> C++ File (.cpp)" into which I have typed a simple C
program -- I would now very much like to compile or run it.
Unfortunately, Visual Studio doesn't seem to have a run or test or
compile or any other option that looks promising. Can someone point me
in the right direction, please. Thanks.

Best place to ask about how to use Visual Studio is one of the
microsoft.public.vc.* groups, or one of the
comp.os.ms-windows.programmer.* groups.
