I have noticed (and come looking for myself) that several people have asked where to find some decent info on the web. Here are two places I would recommend. They both deal with ANSI/ISO C++.
http://www.cplusplus.com - They have a good online tutorial that can be downloaded for offline browsing - It is geared more for the beginner and as such sometimes glosses over some very useful details.
http://www.BruceEckel.com - This one is the home of "Thinking in C++" among other "Thinking in..." books. They are available for free download. VERY nice if you ask me. This one assumes some knowledge of programming in general though.
These are two good places I have found on the net in my searches. They can't take the place of actually being taught by another human (aka someone to question) but they are very nice for those of us that are forced to seek a poor man's education.
BTW - before the flames start, I have no interest vested in posting these except to help out other n00bs to the language such as myself.
