Properties, JavaScript and Viewstate

Daniel Buchholz

Hi all!

I´m trying to build a custom panel control that has the ability to
expand or collapse at runtime without postback. I switch the visibility
property of a DIV to do this.

But what is the proper way of persisting the state of the panel through
a postback cycle. Currently whenever a postback occurs the panel is
rebuilt in its collapsed state. And I have no idea how to use the
viewstate to persist what happens on the client side..

Anyone done that?

Daniel
