Putting an image in a menu

Using the Visual Studio's Menu control, and using the web.sitemap as the
datasource, how can I set the top menu item (the static item) to be an image
rather than text?

If you don't use a datasource and manually add the menu items to the menu
collection you can set an image source for the menu item. How can I do this
if I am using the sitemap as the datasource?
