Question on thick .NET asp clients

Does asp.net require IIS if im using a thick asp.net client with custom web
controls?

it doesn't *require it if you open up your own tcp ip ports etc. what are
you trying to do?

You don't need IIS, but you need to emulate its functionality. Here's a good
