Reset CPAN first run

Perl 5.8.1 on Mac OSX 10.3

I just ran CPAN for the first time on this machine and allowed 'perl -MCPAN
-e shell' to run with default options. However, when trying to load a module
from CPAN (Finance::Quote) it complained that some bits 'n pieces were in
non-standard locations and failed to load the module.

How do I reset the CPAN shell so that I can manually select the correct options?

perl -e "use CPAN::FirstTime; CPAN::FirstTime::init();"
