Signing in to windows

After signing in to windows with user ID and password - starfish or hour
glass remains and computer freezes up and has to bw shut down manually and
rebooted again and again.


HELP!

1 - Start your PC and press the F8 key as soon as the screen comes alive.
2 - Use the Last Known Good Configuration option
3 - Run your anti-virus then restart, that should help if the problem is not
hardware related.
