Engineer in the San Diego, CA area.
Description:
The successful candidate will be a key contributing member of a
software team that designs and develops solutions for embedded devices.
Requirements documents will be developed based on customer input, and
feedback solicited from internal and external stakeholders. These
documents lead to the creation of a system architecture that describes
the hardware and software interface, performance requirements, and
testability. Embedded software will be developed and supported for a
wide variety of microprocessors and operating systems. The ideal
candidate must be a self starter, capable of working through hardware
and software problems with the aid of oscilloscopes and logic
analyzers. Example projects include: tablets, set-top boxes, reference
designs, wireless gateways/routers, and other custom devices.
Experience:
· 5-10 years or more experience in embedded developments
· BSEE/BSCS or equivalent
· Experience with driver development and DDK
· O/S(one or more of the following) - Windows CE, VX Works,
Nucleus, OSE, Linux, Thread X, QNX
· CPU's - ARM, Power PC, MIPS, X86, SH4
· Languages - C, C++
· Technologies - 802.11 on WiFi, Bluetooth, zigbee, various
networking protocols, imaging,
· Experience formulating and communicating the architecture of
complex hardware and software solutions.
· Experience with embedded software development including device
driver development, board bring up support, board support packages, and
hardware/software integration.
