Tabbing?

Some of my users have requested an ability to tab during composition
of a long write-up, fyi, my UI is an iframe. I guess it comes out of
the habit of using Word.
So, question, how do we create the tab capacity in such an
environment?
Just looked at the execCommand reference, I don't see it supports
tabbing, are we stucked? Browser-wise, let's start with IE7.
