Template columns in DataGrid control

Dear Folks,
I have added a check box template column to a .Net Data grid,
programmatically by writing a separate template column class for it.(My
requirement needs it to be like this).
now i want to get the information of the rows corresponding to the checked
checkboxes in the column. Here when it is added programmatically it does not
get loaded into the Columns collection of the data grid. Is there any other
way around to achieve that functionality...
