Tomcat cpu usage 100%

R

Ravi

Hi all,
I am using tomcat 4.0 on HPUX 11.11, jdk1.4. I have a jsp application.
The jsp application works fine. The application as such is not
finished and so i am the only user. If i keep using the application
then there is no problem. Looks like after a period of inactivity
tomcat hangs and the cpu is at 100%. So i tried to kill -SIGQUIT to
see if there is any information i can get from logs. But tomcat did
not dump any information into the log file.
Is there any way to find out where tomcat is hanging ? One thing i
forgot to do was to find out which thread is consuming 100%cpu. Is
there anything else i should be checking.

Thanks in advance

same problem

Hi...

I got a jsf application running on tomcat 5.5.17 (with jdk 1.5_08) installed in a Windows 2003 server... and it runs just fine.

The bizarre situation is when i jump my application to a identical environment except for the machine, which turns to be a MS virtual server... it runs fine for a while but sooner or later it consumes all the cpu resources and freezes the server...

¿what can be the reason ?... there's no things such a infinite loop in my application, i'm not a victim for java 1.4 bugs... somebody help me please :motz:
