Using mirrored accounts to access Active Directory

D

Dan

I've been reading the Building Secure ASP.NET Applications document
from Microsoft.

Can you use duplicate accounts to access Active Directory on a domain
controller? Will duplicate accounts work where one is a local account
and the other is a domain account (since I can't create a local account
on the domain controller)?

I may need this since the firewall may not open sufficient ports to
support Windows authentication between the web server and the domain
controller, yet I want to authenticate users using Forms Authentication
and Active Directory.

Thanks.
