Using the Datalist Control as Menu

Hi,
I'm working in VS 2005, with ASP.Net and C#,
i need to know how to use datalist control as menu ?
I tried it .. but the datalist is not visible(invisble) at run time ?
what would be the cause.. ? Waiting for ur reply ..

Use the menu as a a menu and the datalist as a datalist.

If you're using VS 2005 then why not use the
System.Web.UI.WebControls.Menu class directly?
