Validation of Doubles - the European way

Hi,

I have a problem with a RangeValidator which is set to
ValidationDataType.Double.
While the Validation works with using decimal comma instead of point,
it doesn't support points which are used to separate every third digit
(e.g. 1.000,00).
Do I have to write my own regex, or is there a simplier way to do that?
Any help would be appreciated.
