Can I Remove Duplicate Emails from Multiple EML Folders Without Affecting the Original Data?

I have several folders containing EML files collected from different sources, and after reviewing them, I've noticed that many emails appear more than once across different folders.

Before making any changes, I'd like to know whether there's a reliable way to remove duplicate emails while preserving the original email content, attachments, sender details, and folder organization. I also want to avoid accidentally deleting unique messages that may look similar.

What approach would you recommend for cleaning up duplicate EML files spread across multiple folders?

Yes, duplicate emails can be removed from multiple EML folders without changing the original data. A tool like Softaken EML Duplicate Remover scans single or multiple EML folders and filters duplicate messages safely. It creates a new EML file with only unique emails, so the source files remain unchanged. The software also maintains folder structure and gives the option to remove duplicate emails in the same folder or across folders. It works with EML files created by applications such as Thunderbird, Windows Live Mail and Outlook Express. It's an easy way to clean up large amounts of EML files but preserve important email data.
