I recently moved to a new Windows computer and still have important emails stored in Outlook Express DBX files. Since Outlook Express is no longer available, I need a simple way to access those emails in Microsoft Outlook. I am looking for a beginner-friendly solution that can transfer old DBX mailbox data into PST format without requiring technical knowledge or complicated setup steps.

Convert the old DBX files into PST format and then open that PST file in Microsoft Outlook.
Outlook Express stored emails in DBX files. New Outlook versions use PST files. So DBX files cannot be opened directly. That is why manual setup becomes confusing, especially on a new Windows PC.
What to do
1. Copy all Outlook Express DBX files to one safe folder.
2. Check which DBX files have useful emails.
3. Convert the required DBX mailbox into PST.
4. Save the PST file on the computer.
5. Open the PST file in Outlook and check emails.

For this case, GainTools DBX to PST Converter can be used as a simple option. It supports DBX to PST conversion, shows a preview and keeps emails, attachments, folders and message details.
Tip: Keep the original DBX backup until all emails open correctly in Outlook.
