WebParts- CatalogPartChrome customisation adding a button with event handler

I'm trying to customise a CatalogZone to add a few buttons which call some
ASPNET server side code. Any ideas on how this can be done as I have added
code such as

writer.AddAttribute( HtmlTextWriterAttribute.Onclick,

this.Zone.Page.ClientScript.GetPostBackEventReference(this.Zone,
description.Title));



A postback seems to be called however how do I handle this from my new class
derived from CatalogZone?
