Why SEVERE and WARNING messages are being printed on stderr

G

gbhupesh

I have following code in a java file..

private static FileHandler fh;
private static Logger logger = null;

fh = new FileHandler(LOG_FILE, limit,
2, true);
fh.setFormatter(new MyFormatter());
logger = Logger.getLogger("com.xyz");
logger.addHandler(fh);
logger.setLevel(Trace_LEVEL);
fh.setLevel(Trace_LEVEL);

Other fileas are getting logger as

private static Logger logger = Logger.getLogger("com.xyz");

and using this logger.

Problem is SEVERE and WARNING log messages are getting printed on
stderr also (though in SimpleForamatter format not in MyFormatter
format) along with log file.

What is wrong here?

Thanks
Bhupesh
