Win2K, ASP.NET pages not loading

Hello,

I'm trying to configure a Win2K machine with ASP.NET 1.1

..NET was installed after IIS, so that's all OK.

When I try to execute a page all seems to go well. I see the aspx assembly
in Temporary ASP.NET Files.

However, I then hear a "ding" and the page never completes.

1) Where's a good reference to the order of what executes during an ASPX
page request?
2) Any pointers on where I should be looking for the cause of this?
