Starting Axis outside web server

Hi,

I'm developing an asynchronous web service with a Swing application as
client. To enable my application to receive web service requests it will
start its own copy of Apache Axis. According to the documentation Axis
includes a simple web server. But how do I start it from my application? My
problem is to pass it the right configuration parameters for listing ports,
server-config.wsdd, and so on.

I would be very nice if someone had a few tips and tricks for getting it up
and running.
