viterbi decoder design

hi,
i can understand viterbi algorithm,but i don't know to code it in
vhdl.i dowload viterbi decoder from open core ,but i dont know to
interconnect and run the modules.any body help me?

hi,
first read the code and note down how it is working on paper.
later u can under stnad that. otherwise first draw a block diagram.

In viterbi decoder basic block is ACS butterfly. The no. of butter
flies depend on constarint length. first read ACSbutterfly code. draw
block diagram of that. Note down what are the inputs and outputs.
later go through the other parts of code.
