Hello all!

Im researching the possibilities of accessing a webcam using java. Im not
too familiar with any technical details of the java media framework itself
yet... I only need to know if it's possible to acces a webcam (device
independent if possible), read the video stream from it and get information
about each frame in this stream. Is this possible? I've read something about
the java media framework capable doing this?

Could anyone that know more about this clear things up for me?
