Adding user controls to a panel

[Ufit]

I created user control (myctrl.ascx) which is grid and images in it
When I do this code in vb

dim c as new myctrl
Panel1.Controls.Add(c)

I get nothing in the panel. Why?? What do i have to do to display that controls
in there?
