A client would like a website rebuilt in modern asp.net environment.
I am looking at the existing website, which consists on numerous asp files.
Each asp file seems to have a corresponding aspx file. For the most part,
the pairs of files are identical. Fc reports subtle differences in a few
cases, but I can't actually see the differences that fc is trying to show
me.
I am a programmer of many years and various sorts, although not an asp.net
programmer or even an asp programmer. I am acting as a consultant only for
the moment, in this matter of determining the next steps.
I have seen one or two live asp.net websites from a programmer/consultant
perspective. I have the new visual studio express version installed and I
have been through some Microsoft training videos.
My question(s): what exactly am I looking at? Is it already asp.net? (there
is no DLL anywhere in site) Maybe you can tell at a glance. www.bdt.net It
doesn't look terribly antiquated to me. Can this be converted to asp.net?
