I see this wiki stuff about quite a lot these days - tell me - whats to stop
me going over there right now and deleting/changing ALL of the content and
buggering it up for everyone?

Not that I would - just interested...

The Wiki maintains a changelog and a history so that other users can revert
your changes if they are rubbish. Some automation of this process is also
possible for obvious vandalism such as deleting the content in its entirety.
