I have been musing about the way in which
you present URL's to the FAQ, Mike.

I've also been pondering something. Why do you wrap at around fifty
characters? I only allow twenty more in my posts, but it makes your posts
seem very distorted.
Normally I would conatenate the anchor
to the URL, though I notice that while
you always seem to give exact answers
(e.g. '4.32'), you never put it all as
one link.

I don't always.
Is this because..
a) There is a deeper message in what you write.
(or rather, the way your write it) *

The general idea is to get the poster to actually *look* at the FAQ,
rather than allowing them to jump directly to their answer. Ideally, it
would alert them to the sort of answers that are available, and that maybe
they'll even stumble on an answer to some other problem they have. It
probably doesn't happen though.

Of course, I don't always post in the same way. It tends to vary based on
my mood and some other factors.
b) You did not realise the document had anchors
( Oh come on.. I couldn't resist that one.. ;-)

I'll pretend you didn't write that. :p
c) Something so strange it is beyond
even my guesswork.

Like using a PRNG to arbitrarily determine the content of my posts? [1]
[ Just curious, and yes, ..I *do* have
too much time on my hands at the moment. ]

Yes, indeed you do, but don't worry. So do I. :D

Mike

[1] Unfortunately, that is the strangest thing that I could think of at
the moment. A prime example of my inability to think of decent examples.
