Converting Text to Image

Does anyone know of a tool for Converting Text to images so that I can still
have image buttons on my site while having it localised?

PS: I have taken a look at AcmeGif I am looking to see if there is something
better though. Or tutorial help on AcmeGif.

I´m not sure if you are searching for an already existing tool but
your question
has little information. Since you´ve posted this question in
comp.lang.java.programmer I assume you need a Java API. I don´t know
AcmeGif I´ve never heard of it but I know that JAI (Java Advanced
Imaging) API can write images in different formats.

I wrote a tool to make small images with one line of text on them for
web site buttons. Is that what you are interested in?
