It looks ok (the arch is simple), but WAP is not XHTML. I doubt if it
even supports javascript and css. Even if it does and translated page
can be rendered, there are still many issues, such as the width of
pages, large images, and two- or three-column layout (many sites like
news.google.com and yahoo.com will definitely not work without CSS
tweaking)

that link does not work for me. i get a yellow page with a few curley

It's broken now. The core is simply a proxy for cell phone's browser to
translate ordinary HTML pages on web-sites to XHTML. But it also says
that the cell phone's browser supports WAP 2, which is far different
from any version of XHTML as I know.
