Creating Windows service using C++ in non-CLR env

Hi,
I have a requirement to create a Windows service application using C++ that needs to be deployed in a non-CLR environment. All help available at MSDN and other forums points to solutions that either use .Net or managed extensions(both are based on CLR environment). I am sure there should be way to develop the service with just C++(and MFC/ATL). Could someone please provide some pointers to appropriate help....
