Dev C++ and gdb problems

I'm using wxDev-C++ and the debugger has no command line I/O. I think
gdb allows this by interfacing with it's command line. But the 'send
command to gdb' box in wxDev-C++ doesn't appear do to anything. Any
Ideas?

Not sure what you're talking about (I mean, why would you send commands to the
debugger?). But anyway, perhaps try out Code::Blocks IDE. It also supports gdb,
and may have better gdb support. Default config is bit impractical though. But.
