dev-c++

Hi

I just a C++ book with dev-C++5 beta7 4.9.7.0 on a CD

There are 2 files to install and NO instructions on these files named
devcpp4970-gcc295.exe
devcpp4970-gcc32.exe

I have no idea what the difference is because there are NO instructions. The
files are about 40 mb each. I guess that 1 is for win95.
I have p233 win95 2gig, 48mg ram.
There is no way I will install this on my better computer as these
requirements are good enough and this is really unimpressive so far.

I installed 1 of the files and guess what ....it doesnt work
I installed the other and gies what it ...........doesnt work

There is a missing shfolder.dll

I am annoyed (can you tell) and I wonder has anyone got any ideas other than
downloading 200mb from the internet. I feel like taking it all back but I
will try some help groups first.

I just want to run C++ programs. using devC++....thats it.

You're off topic for this board, but you want the gcc32.exe file. GCC
3.2 is much more standards compliant than 2.95.

Your best bet is to go over to gnu.g++.help
