FAQ Topic - Which newsgroups deal with javascript?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The official Big 8 Usenet newsgroup dealing with javascript is
comp.lang.javascript.
Some "language" hierarchies also have *.comp.lang.javascript groups.

CLJ is an unmoderated newsgroup.

The official Big 8 Usenet newsgroup dealing with javascript is
comp.lang.javascript.

The full list of newsgroup names including "javascript" known to my
system, which will be those served by Demon and/or AIOE, by bulk
copy'n'paste, is :

alt.comp.lang.javascript, alt.discuss.javascript, alt.swnet.comp.lang.ja
vascript, comp.lang.javascript, de.comp.lang.javascript,
fido7.ru.javascript, fj.comp.lang.javascript, fr.comp.lang.javascript,
it.comp.lang.javascript, japan.comp.lang.javascript,
mozilla.dev.tech.javascript, netscape.public.beta.feedback.javascript,
no.it.programmering.javascript, perl.javascript, pl.comp.lang.javascript

and Google has more javascript newsgroups, for example
dk.edb.internet.webdesign.clientside
Javascript og andre scriptsprog i webbrowsere.
which is clearly actively relevant and contains threads about "Redirect
on specific dates", "javascript to the "last updated"", "Show countdown
in titlebar", and 1850 instances of a ten-letter string, all with what
one might expect on each side. It seems quite interesting, for those
who know how to read Danish, as I do. BTW, according to Google, that's
a Usenet Group, not a Google one.

Therefore, I suggest that, in that FAQ entry, since 'alt' is not a
language, etc., '"language"' be changed to 'other'.
