From my experience, importing a PST file to an IMAP server is not very straightforward using only Microsoft Outlook, but it can be done with the right approach.
The manual method involves adding your IMAP account (like Gmail or any mail server) in Outlook, then opening the PST file using File → Open & Export → Open Outlook Data File. After that, you drag and drop emails from the PST file into your IMAP folders. Outlook will automatically sync the data to the server. However, this method can be slow and may not work well for large PST files.
To make things easier, I prefer using a PST converter tool. It allows you to upload PST data directly to an IMAP server without manual effort. You add the PST file, enter IMAP credentials, and start the process.
I use BLR Tools because it makes the migration fast, secure, and hassle-free without risking data loss. For a better understanding, you can also refer to a detailed blog guide that explains the full process step by step.
