How do I change the size of an image?

I want to right a function that changes the size of an image.

I've tried the following:

document["image0"].src.width = 300;

This doesn't seem to work.

What am I doing wrong?

Try either
document.images["image0"].width = 300;
or
document.images["image0"].style.width = "300px";

What am I doing wrong?

Trying to change the width of the src string, not the image, and
in a not very portable way.
