how do you pronounce wxpython

Alex

My native language is not English so I just wonder how you pronounce
wxPython.

vi-ex python
double-you-ex python
wax-python

or something else

Thanks

I'm sure you'll get five different answers.

Personally, I say the 'wx' bit as 'wooks' (like 'books' in Southern
England pronunciation, ie. short 'oo').

Qt --> 'cute'

Tk --> 'tick'

Gtk --> I can't write this one down...

I'd always assumed it was doubleyew-ecks python, but it could be wicks
python, or similar.

I am sure it is pronounced the same way as wxWidgets <wink>.

Which is in turn pronounced the same way as wxWindows. As to how that's
pronounced, I'd suggest asking Microsoft's lawyers whose actions in
"defending" an arguably dubious trademark possibly involved
investigating this issue in more depth.

I always pronounced it double-you-ex-python. I am almost positive this
is the way it is pronounced.

Although the wxPyWiki seems to be pronounced wix-pee-wi-kee (as it says
on the front page) so maybe it is pronounced wix-Python... you never know...

That's _definitely_ how it's pronounced.

Here.

Where I am.

When I'm speaking.

If, however, we're near Mike Fletcher and he's the one speaking, it's
pronounced differently than any of the suggestions made so far, but I'd
have to defer to him for the spelling describing his pronunciation.
