How many domains does someone own?

Not sure of the right group to post but someone here would know the
answer. I'm building some sites and wanted to know a couple of things
-- first, how many domains do I own that may be at different
registrars? While I can log into accounts, I may have multiple
accounts. I remember at NSI you used to be able to search for who owns
a domain by last name and wondering if such a mechanism exists. First,
I'd like to know how many domains I may own and see if I created
multiple accounts. Second, I may be going into business with someone
and want to know if he stocked up other domains that he's not telling
me about. Where would one find this?

If you have a "handle" you can use that as a search method.

NSI dropped the "search by name" thing once others were allowed to register.
What makes you believe he has to disclose all of his domain names to you?
That's his business.

I didn't say he had to but before I decide to go into business I'd
like to be reassured I'm getting the straight story and there is no
harm in doing research. It's my business to know whether he's thinking
something different than what he is telling me.

Check the whois database. Various sites give you the ability to search
it.

None of the whois databases allow you to search by owner name, only
domain name. You used to be able to do this via NSI.

If I own 200 domain names, I'm not about to give you them all for any reason
just to put up a few with you.
That's none of your damn business.

You take my business as is or I'll find someone else to deal with.

You couldn't afford 200 domain names, st00pid.

Besides, you'd just lose them all for child porn anyway.

You take my business as is or I'll find someone else to deal with.

With an attitude like that, you'll have a hard time finding them.

Well, then you must be a smart businessman, taking everyone at their
word. I have the right and common sense (perhaps not so common) to do
research... and my money is my business.

Can anyone help other than giving us a strange business lesson?
