Hi All,

Is there any way other than frames to play music in the background of
the website without restart while navigating to different pages of the
website.

Because, frames will affect the SEO.

Is it possible to achieve it via cookies/sessions?

Kindy let me know if you have any valuable suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

I seem to recall having visiting a site where the main index page was
a splash page, and it started music in the background. Clicking the
"Enter" link popped a new window over the splash page, leaving the
splash page in the background to play music while navigating the site
on the new window.

An off button is always nice, which I don't seem to recall...

No, it isn't.

The OP asked for a search-engine-friendly solution ("SEO" means Search
Engine Optimization). This is none.

And as popups that are not caused by direct user interaction are likely
to be blocked, and an external media player application does not need to be
installed (ignoring that changing its playlist will disturb the user) there
is no solution to this problem that does not involve (i)frames *and* is
search-engine-friendly.

Because a media object is unloaded every time the resource it is contained
in is being navigated away from.
