Is writing javascript using the p5js library considered writing javascript or something else?

I know it sounds like a dumb question but i have no other way to rephrase it

Yes, it is javascript using libraries written in javascript. If you look at j5 it is written as javascript. That is why it has the .js extension. Just remember - All libraries contain things you don't need for the code you're writing. Extra baggage.
