ItemDatabound event

I have a datagrid for student promotion. In Itemdatabound event, i checked to see whether a student is passed and inserted the text "Passed" or "Failed" in the last column named Result. I named my datatable as dt and datarow is dr. But i couldn't get the value from dr("Result") . ie ;The last column value i have given in itemdatabound is not added in the datatable. Anybody Please give me a solution to solve this problem.
