JEditorPane fails for international keyboard ?

Hi,

I have had a couple of international users complain that when using my
swing app they key special characters (like russian, spanish -
characters like á or ñ.).

I suggested using the local setting but didnt help - they have no
problem with windows applications.

Not having any experience I am not even sure what questions to ask let
alone troubleshoot this.

Can someone give me some pointers? I am using JGoodies as my UI
manager if it makes a difference.
