I was googling and saw hundreds of DHTML menus out there. As I am working on
a web app and figure it should be my work and not the work of other people I
decided to sped some time (more than expected) to build one that is nearly
completely DOM based. I think I have come a long way thus far but have hit a
few road blocks and figured I'd hit up some of the pros.

I am at the point where I have to come up with a couple of things. I need to
link an onclick action (I've done this but not as passed to the function) to
the drop downs as well as more importantly a timer to keep the menu open
when you move from the menu to the drop down. I am drawing a bit of a blank.
I tried using a mouseup listener on the drop down but it causes text to be
highlighted. Not good. So, the timer is the option but now sure how to go
about that one.
Any advice appreicated!
