Need Help Creating a Java Script

Hi,

I am a complete newbie in javascript so if someone is interested in a
challenge here it is.

I need help to create a javascript to do the following:

When the user clicks on the following url
href="http://website.com/WebZ/Authorize:s...error/authofailfremessage.html:style=nffrench"><img
SRC="/html/icimages/connexion.gif" BORDER=0 align=CENTER></a>

The browser returned a page with the following url and parameters in
the address
http://website.com/WebZ/html/geacnfdblist.html?sessionid=01-32793-88956278

I need the javascript to retrieve the sessionid variable and resubmit
another url with the following url with the correct sessionid from the
previous entry.

http://website.com/WebZ/AdvancedQue...=1&entitycurrecno=1&numrecs=10&dbname=ADVANCE
