New C+ Coder!

Good evening. I just bought a new Alienware R3 4K with a 980m from Facebook Marketplace for $500 and I wanted to put it to good use. I have become inspired to learn how to code to make a phone application. I have downloaded visual basic studio and I'm ready to look at some code! Does anyone have any example application code or a working application that I can look at? I wanted to play around with a few things and see if I could figure out how to change the app text and graphics myself.
