I'm new to ruby. I downloaded the one-click installer, latest version and
installed. Various things don't work as I would expect, but the big one is
that the Windows stuff simply won't run. Freeride crashes with "The
application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way" which
means an abort() exit, and rubyw.exe itself exits silently. There are no
sample programs to test it with, so I'm stuck.
This is latest WinXpPro, VS8, all updates. The registry looks OK; I checked
the depends and all DLLs look OK.
Suggestions? Help?
