Hi all,
New to python so take it easy on me
I am using a GM863-Python GSM module and want to have a script that keeps a socket open to my PC (server), I want to attached a PC (remote) via COM port and GE863 and have what appears to be a always connected transparent connection over GPRS.
So the script needs to connect, monitor and if disconnected re-connect automatically and do this forever. the only other thing I think I might need is a status if connection cannot be made after XX seconds
So from my PC (remote) and hyperterminal (or similar) using TCP/IP be able to send commands anytime and I either get response from server or a "CANNOT CONNECT" message from python.
Hope this all makes sense and can someone can help
Thx
