Im working on a school project and i need some advice in MPLAB X and some programming around it

Hello, I am working with two different microcontrollers on two different boards. I am trying to connect those two boards with bluetooth and work from there, but i got to the point where i noticed that i need to have one board working without a debugger connected to it and that doesnt work for me on neither of my boards. I am using ATSAMD21G17D and ATSAML21G17B microcontrolers and a MPLAB Snap as a debugger tool and when i use the debug main project button in MPLAB X, everything works, but as soon as the debugger is disconnected, the code seems to be deleted and doesnt work. Also when trying to just use the Run button in MPLAB X, It doesnt work either.
