nothing working in IE 5.5

tech: asp.net 1.1 (w/latest updates) & IIS6, c#

i have an ecommerce site that works fine in IE6 & FireFox 1.0.6

but when it comes to IE 5.5 absolutley nothing works at all

ie cant login, cant register, cant add to basket.....

the site is actually pulling & displaying data fine, its just when you come
to perfom actions like the ones above, that nothing works!!

the only thing that does work is an HTML search page

just seems that everything i do seems to do a postback & nothing else

anyone had any similiar problems?

Looks like a cookie problem ? Have you checked if maintaining the session
works ?

two things to check:

1) cookies turned, required for session support).
2) javascript enabled, required for all postback controls except the
<asp:button> and <asp:imagebutton>
